Bob Lucas started back in 1966 mowing lawns, laying sod, and landscaping. In 1976 opened our first
Lucas Nursery and Landscaping company retail store in Canton, Michigan on Ford Road near Lilley Road.
Sandy Lucas worked in retail while Bob worked on the landscaping aspects of the business. |

The nursery was moved in 1990 down Ford Road between Ridge and Napier Roads to provide a larger
scale nursery. In 1995 we opened a second store on Ann Arbor Road in Plymouth Michigan. |

In 2005 we relocated again the Ford Road Nursery down 1-1/4 miles west to offer an even larger scale
retail area on 125 acres of land. Our new location is one of the largest nurseries in the Midwest.
We now have 30,000 sq. ft. of Greenhouse where we grow our own annuals and perennials along with
ground covers and our 12,000 sq ft. retail store is packed with everything for your yard and gardening space. |

We enjoy what we do. We have many annual events to go along with the seasons. Each Spring we have our Open House Celebration
with fire trucks, clowns, petting animals and more. In the Fall, we celebrate Halloween with cider, donuts and pumpkins for carving and eating.
Christmas is a special time with our wide selection of christmas decorations, oriented plants and flowers including wreaths and poinsettias. Plus the family can meet Santa Clause. |

In addition to our 2 Southeastern Michigan stores we have 87 acres Tree Farm growing
hardy ornamental, shade and evergreen trees in Kalkaska, Michigan. |
